MOVED OUT

The above picture is my grandson, Jackson, with his Aunt Anita. Anita has been living at home since moving back to Indianapolis from the Atlanta, Georgia, area last May 1st. She wanted to be closer to her family. Her company, Choice Point, a risk management company, transferred her to this area.

Yesterday she got moved out of the house. She was fortunate to find a great apartment in a great area (a mile and a half from my house) at a great price. It is a one bedroom apartment on the third floor (her choice). The move went very well. The Lord allowed good weather. We had two great movers (Jay and David) from "TWO MEN AND A TRUCK". All three of my girls have used this moving company several times over the years. They have never had a bad experience with them.

Today Anita got her cable, wireless Internet and digital phone line installed. Now she is officially moved in. Tonight is her first night in her apartment and my first night knowing she has moved out. Several people, knowing she was moving, have asked me if I was going to be all right. I will be. I am not one who is prone to loneliness. I can still take care of myself. After Karon's death I told all three girls that I didn't want any of them to put their life on hold to come take care of Dad. Dad doesn't want taking care of! I want each of them to live their lives and I want to live mine to the glory and service of God.

But Anita's moving is a "bitter-sweet" time for me. I will miss knowing she will be here at night. Even when she was out of town (which seems to be frequently!) I knew she'd be back before long. But I will be fine. And I am happy for her to have such a nice apartment in such a good, safe location. And I'm glad she'd not far away. Now all three girls are close by.

Hi Jim, I know the feeling of bittersweet leavings. Glad Anita is not going far. She is still able to answer calls and to drop in regularly. What a blessing. We have been having fun with two grandsons in the play, The Sound of Music. Have seen the play twice, and Cheryl is watching a 'third' today. Know that you will remain steady on the journey. Heaven is not that far away. Blessings on your fine life,
Bill
