PICTURES OF MY CHILDREN
I thought it about time to post pictures of my daughters, of whom I am most proud.
This is my oldest daughter, LeDena. She is known as "Auntie" to Jackson and Addison, my grandchildren.
Following are pictures of my other two children.

This is my middle daughter, Anita. (The one on the right! The guy on the left is the Univeristy of Alabama mascot, "Big Al"!) She is my lawyer daughter who just moved from my house into her apartment earlier this month!

And this is my youngest daughter, Karla, and her husband, Bill. This isn't their wedding picture. They were in a wedding in Florida last fall. They are the parents of two of the most wonderful grandchildren in the world--Jackson and Addison!

Although not taken today, this is a picture of my son-in-law Bill's parents and Jackson and Addison's other grandparents--Willard and Cheryl Spencer. I am so happy they could come up from North Carolina to spend Easter weekend with us.
We all had such a good time! We were blessed by a wonderful church service and our minister, Aaron Brockett, brought just the perfect Easter message. Then a great Easter dinner at my house and lots of good fun and fellowship with family.
I commented this afternoon that the only one having a better time was Karon, who is in the actual presence of our Risen Savior! This gives Easter an all new meaning for me this year.
Thanks for reading all these posts and viewing the pictures. Just click on any picture to enlarge it. Then you may have to zoom down or scroll around to see all the picture.

Jackson looks more like the "Old Man Of The Sea" standing by the lighthouse! But Jackson is taller than the lighthouse! That lighthouse shines at night if there has been sun during the day. That's Jackson's mother and my youngest daughter, Karla, in the background. Jackson has his football Easter basket of eggs beside him. "Papa" couldn't pass up a football Easter basket when he saw it at Walgreen's!![]()

Grandson Jackson seems to think he wants to use his football Easter basket as a shoulder bag! Not a good way to keep your eggs in one basket!

Granddaughter Addison finds her Easter egg! Actually, she found several. That is her oldest brother, Dylan, helping her. He was so good with Addison and his brother, Jackson.

EASTER, 2008
Here are some pictures from our Easter today. The weather was colder but at least sunny and the kids could be outside hunting Easter eggs--after a wonderful meal. My girls prepared everything. We had meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, baked potatoes, green bean casserole, pineapple and marshmallow salad, rolls and I'm sure I'm forgetting something! We had two kinds of cake--beautifully decorated in the Easter theme--for dessert!
Afterward the kids had fun outside and the adults -- some of them -- watched Butler lose to Tennessee. :(
Here is a picture of granddaughter Addison on her Easter egg hunt!

ANOTHER ALABAMA FOOTBALL FANHere is another Alabama football fan. This is Addison, who now is walking all over the place. The previous picture was Jackson, now 3+ years old.
I was able to attend two home Alabama football games last fall. I am going to the Alabama "A"-Day games next month. Besides seeing the squads work out on the field, I am anxious to see the dogwood trees, the azalea bushes and all the other signs of Spring in the South. Maybe I can bring back some good pictures to post.

ALABAMA FOOTBALL FAN
People who know me realize that I am a big Alabama football fan and have been for a long time. Here is a picture (although an old one) of a "fan" I have recruited. Although only 3 + years old now, he recognizes all things Alabama and often insists that he wants to wear Alabama clothes on a given day.
Some say he has been "brainwashed". I say he is just "educated". I'm posting another picture of an Alabama fan I have "recruited"!

MOVED OUT
The above picture is my grandson, Jackson, with his Aunt Anita. Anita has been living at home since moving back to Indianapolis from the Atlanta, Georgia, area last May 1st. She wanted to be closer to her family. Her company, Choice Point, a risk management company, transferred her to this area.
Yesterday she got moved out of the house. She was fortunate to find a great apartment in a great area (a mile and a half from my house) at a great price. It is a one bedroom apartment on the third floor (her choice). The move went very well. The Lord allowed good weather. We had two great movers (Jay and David) from "TWO MEN AND A TRUCK". All three of my girls have used this moving company several times over the years. They have never had a bad experience with them.
Today Anita got her cable, wireless Internet and digital phone line installed. Now she is officially moved in. Tonight is her first night in her apartment and my first night knowing she has moved out. Several people, knowing she was moving, have asked me if I was going to be all right. I will be. I am not one who is prone to loneliness. I can still take care of myself. After Karon's death I told all three girls that I didn't want any of them to put their life on hold to come take care of Dad. Dad doesn't want taking care of! I want each of them to live their lives and I want to live mine to the glory and service of God.
But Anita's moving is a "bitter-sweet" time for me. I will miss knowing she will be here at night. Even when she was out of town (which seems to be frequently!) I knew she'd be back before long. But I will be fine. And I am happy for her to have such a nice apartment in such a good, safe location. And I'm glad she'd not far away. Now all three girls are close by.

I have long admired my friends' blogs who have pictures on their Blogs. I have never known how to do it. But I've finally gotten brave enough to experiment. So we'll see how this turns out.
This is my granddaughter at Christmas time. She is now one year old. If this works I'll probably give in to the temptation to post other pictures. Maybe you-all better hope this doesn't work!

OFF THE “IRS” HOOK!
October of last year I was notified by the IRS that they wanted to “review” a portion of my 2005 income tax return. They asked for cancelled checks of all my “charitable” contributions. They settled for receipts from the organizations to which I had made a contribution.
I submitted these by the November deadline. I received written notice that the IRS had received the documentation. Included in the notice was a statement that they would notify me if they needed further information or documentation. After that I heard nothing more. It was like waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Mid-January this year I received notice (actually 4 identical notices!) that the IRS was making NO CHANGES to my 2005 Income tax return filing.
The other shoe had dropped—and it didn’t hit me on the head! There was grateful praise to the Lord!
I received two identical envelopes from the IRS. Each envelope contained two identical letters saying they weren’t changing my 2005 return. I don’t understand why it took four identical letters in two identical envelopes to tell one person they weren’t changing their return. But I got the message and am very glad.
Now I am ready to submit my 2007 return.
